ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
The successful candidate will produce reports on service levels and program outcomes to share with Accerta’s customers. The Market Analyst and Reporting Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market and business data. This role is responsible for delivering insightful reports on market trends, customer behavior, competitor activities, and internal performance metrics, ensuring that the company remains competitive and data-driven in its growth strategies. They will support the development and preparation of proposals and content that is shared with decision-makers.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Market Research & Analysis:
- Review public tender sites to identify business development opportunities.
- Leverage internal data to report on service levels and outcomes for Accerta’s customers
- Analyze economic, political and social trends (incl. industry trends, economic forecasts, consumer trends, stakeholder positions, and regulatory changes) to contribute to a better understanding of Accerta’s competitive position, risk profile, and business development opportunities (incl. new product development, conference participation, sector partnerships, and sponsorships).
- Monitor and evaluate competitors’ strategies, pricing, product offerings, and positioning.
- Conduct cross-jurisdictional research and develop case studies and benchmark studies to support both internal strategy and external positioning.
- Maintain a centralized library of core business development documents and presentation materials.
- Work with the Director of Strategic Insights and Business Development to maintain the opportunity maps and sales pipeline, providing strategic insights and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and market positioning
- Curate and oversee a centralized library of core business development documents and presentation materials, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and strategic relevance for internal and external use
- Identify vendors to support research and analysis (will work with these vendors, in partnership with the Director of Strategic Insights and Business Development).
Reporting & Business Intelligence:
- Design and produce clear and accessible reports, dashboards, and presentations for customers and internal audiences (including senior leadership team and Board of Directors).
- Provide clear, accessible summaries of team activities to track progress against KPIs, demonstrating how the team contributes to business growth across different lines of business and in targeted geographical settings (e.g., claim administration, contact centre, group benefits, business development/government solutions, etc.).
- Work with internal teams to gather, validate, and synthesize data from multiple sources (Customer Relationship Management (CRM), admin systems, finance).
Data Management & Visualization:
- Support appropriate use and customization of the Department’s CRM.
- Use Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) to build dynamic dashboards and visual reports.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to enhance the data infrastructure and reporting capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with internal teams and customers to provide insights that support business goals and contribute to ongoing service and process improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external decision-makers to develop standard and customized reports to support customers’ ongoing information needs and help them transform their social assistance programs.
- Support the development of public sector solutions that will drive positive market entry by contributing to pricing strategies and market identification.
- Other duties as assigned.
Proposal Preparation
- Support the full lifecycle of Request for x (RFX), including Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Call for Application (CFA), etc., and unsolicited proposals for all business opportunities
Driving Accerta’s Purpose
- Contribute to alignment with Accerta’s commitment to its B Corp principles.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health administration, public policy, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in market analysis, business intelligence, or within the insurance, fintech, government, or financial services industry would be an asset
- Knowledge of diverse business processes and applications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (including presentation skills)
- Ability to apply judgment and clear direction in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
- Well-developed analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and platforms (Microsoft Suite, Power BI, etc.)
- Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Results-oriented with proven track record of delivering to deadlines, able to multitask and prioritize a wide range of tasks with an understanding of the big picture and inter-dependencies across systems and projects
